Portfolio

I finished putting my portfolio together today. I had so much fun creating it. It was a little hard but I am excited that I know how to do it now. I had some trouble getting all of my links to work but it finally worked out. I am excited to be able to present it on Monday.

Podcasting

I have now subscribed to 3 different pod casting websites. These feeds can be viewed at the bottom of this blog. They all have to do with education. They look really interesting and I look forward to getting to know more about them.

On another note, the recipes I posted on wikipedia.com for maple syrup appear to have been removed. It is too bad. So many people don't know how to make maple syrup at home.

I have enjoyed learning about all of the technology we have used this semester. I can't wait to use them when I become a teacher.

e-portfolio

I have been working on my e-portfolio for the last couple of days. I am using wix.com. It is really easy to use and I am having a good time putting it together. Mostly I just have to put the different rationales and artifacts in and then it should be good to go. I am so excited to be getting this done.

Rationales

Today i finished my rationales. We didn't meet online this morning. I was able to use some of the time to work on the assignments that I haven't completed yet. I do not have any rationales left to write now. I still need to work on my webquest lesson plan today.

Photo sharing

I signed up for Picasa online web albums today. I already use Picasa on my computer so I already know how it works. I look forward to being able to learn more about how the web album works.

Wiki Contribution

Today I added to the wikipedia page for Maple Syrup. I added 2 recipes for making maple syrup at home. I do not know if they will remove this content but I thought people like like to know they can make it at home rather than just buy it in the stores. Here is the link if you want to see it.

Webquest

Today we learned about webquest. It seems like it will be useful once I learn more about how to use it. I am just glad that I have the weekend to play with it. I feel like there is so much to do and not enough time to do it. No class on Monday. I am going to try to enjoy the long weekend.

Social Bookmarking

Today, I signed up for social bookmarking on del.icio.us.com. I am starting to bookmark my favorite sites. I think I am going to have some fun with social bookmarking.

Work on your own day

Today was our first work on your own day. I got a lot accomplished. I wrote my first rationale. It didn't take long once I got started. I just hope I did it right. I watched my second UEN presentation. This one was called Blogging with Google Blogger. I learned some cool stuff and did my write up about it. I tried to sign up for a social bookmarking service but I wasn't sure which one to use so I didn't sign up for one after all.

Another Monday

Today was fustrating. Class was hard to follow because Dr. Davis kept getting kicked out. We weren't sure what we were supposed to be doing. I think once everyone figures out how wimba works it will go better.

I have also got all my RSS feeds up on this blog. Some of the articles sound really interesting but I haven't had a chance to look at many of them yet.

Finally Thursday

It has been a long week but it is almost the weekend. Today we learned about the Smart board. It is some cool technology but unfortunately it will probably be obsolete by the time I am teaching in a classroom. There will be something better and more expensive before too long. Hopefully the new technology won't be too different from what is out now.

Day 3

Today I learned how to make a photo story. I think that it will be a lot of fun to make one. I also learned a little about the copyright laws. I am glad that we are learning about this so that I do not infringe on the copyright on materials now or in the future.

Summer classes

The technology class will be so much fun. I can already tell that I will learn a lot in the next 5 weeks. I do not know much about the new technology stuff out there but I want to learn more. I never thought I would have a blog and now I do.
